FAS-detect™ IHC is a monoclonal antibody with a specificity for Fatty Acid Synthase (FAS), an enzyme with cytoplasmic distribution that plays a central role in the de novo biosynthesis of fatty acids. Using immunohistochemistry, FAS expression has also been documented in a wide variety of common human carcinomas. For example, elevated levels of FAS has been reported in tumors of the breast, colon, prostate, and endometrium.
Developed by FASgen Diagnostics LLC, FAS-detect™ IHC (clone 6E7) can be used to identify FAS in a wide variety of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues using standard antigen retrieval and staining technologies. The product is supplied as 50 ug of antibody lyophilized in PBS/0.5% Bovine Serum Albumin/0.1% sodium azide.
